Winkelhock joining MF1
Markus Winkelhock is going to be the test driver of MF1 Racing this, according to reports in Germany. The 25-year-old son of Grand Prix driver, the late Manfred Winkelhock, may be seen in the car on Fridays but that decision apparently depends on which driver has the most sponsorship available. The job was announced as having gone to Dutchman Nicky Pastorelli but there have been rumours for a couple of weeks that his money did not materialise.
Winkelhock tested for the team in December and by all accounts did a good job.
The German raced in the Renault World Series last year, scoring three victories.
