A soggy day for Max

Former MotoGP rider Max Biaggi did just 10 laps of Silverstone in wet conditions earlier today, driving a 2005 Jordan fitted with a Toyota V8 engine. The test proved very little but the biker is currently looking for work having been dropped by Honda in MotoGP at the end of last year. It was not Biaggi's first F1 test as he drove a Ferrari back in 1999. Biaggi says that he does not know what he is going to do in the future but it seems rather unlikely that he would jump into F1. The MF1 Racing team will have suffered no harm at all from running the biker but needs more cash from its second driver and it is hard to imagine that Biaggi is going to pay to drive. MF1 Racing has been announcing a string of small sponsors in recent weeks, most of them linked to Christijan Albers. There is believed to be a deal in place for ther second car with Tiago Monteiro but the team refuses to confirm the announcement, despite the fact that it put Monteiro's name on the FIA entry list back in November.
