The second seat at Super Aguri

Sakon Yamamoto impressed the Jordan team when he acted as the team's third driver at Suzuka last year and it seems that the Japanese youngster is being talked about in Japan as a possible candidate for the team's second drive, alongside Takuma Sato. But there is also speculation that the drive could go to a number of other Japanese drivers, notably Kosuke Matsuura, who raced last year in the Indy Racing League and Formula Nippon racer Yuji Ide. Anthony Davidson is also still in the picture although he may decide that the third drive at Honda Racing F1 is still a better bet for his career.

The Super Aguri F1 team will start the year with updated Arrows 2002 cars but hopes to get a new car by the start of the European season.
