Supercheap French GP tickets on sale

The tickets for the French Grand Prix went on sale today and in an effort pull in an even larger crowd than last year the organisers of the race are offering a 10% discount for all tickets purchased before the start of the new F1 season. The tickets for the Magny-Cours event are already among the cheapest available in F1.

Next year's event will be part of the French national holiday weekend marking Bastille Day and the Federation Francaise du Sport Automobile is planning to use the race to celebrate 100 years of Grand Prix racing. The first Grand Prix took place at Le Mans in 1906.

"We could not have chosen a more prestigious date than the July 14 to celebrate the 100 anniversary of the Grand Prix de France," said FFSA President Jacques Regis. "Given the superb 2005 season, next year's Grand Prix promises to be even more spectacular."

Tickets are available from www.gpfrancef1.com, or through the international ticket sales hotline +33 1 41 57 31 97.
