Coca-Cola and F1 - no-one told Coke!

Coca-Cola has no plans to sponsor Formula 1, according to the company's Director of Communications Philipp Bodzenta.

"Going into Formula 1 sponsorship, in whatever form, is currently not under discussion," Bodzenta told German media, adding that this did not exclude the possibility that there might be discussions about the idea in the future.

Coca-Cola is currently involved as a major sponsor with the FIFA World Cup. This deal has been ongoing for eight years and will run out after next year's World Cup. Coca-Cola says it wants to continue that arrangement. Coca-Cola has been linked to international football for more than 70 years, and has been an official FIFA partner since 1974.
