A good day for the French
France's Nicolas Lapierre scored a double win the A1 Grand Prix races at the Lausitzring in Germany, beating Switzerland's Neel Jani and Nelson Piquet Jr of Brazil in the first race and then seeing off Robbie Kerr (Great Britain) and Canada's Sean McIntosh in the second. The first race was marked by a crash between the USA's Scott Speed and Kerr at the start. In the series Brazil still leads the championship with 30 points but France has 29 points, equal to New Zealand, which has been consistent rather than fast.
The series will now move on to Estoril in Portugal.
