A big day for Britain
While Fernando Alonso was winning the World Championship in Brazil, in Portugal the next generation of racing stars were battling it out for the World Karting Championship at the Braga circuit. The result was a 1-2 victory for Great Britain with Oliver Oakes taking the title for Gillard and Jon Lancaster finishing second in a Birel. The former World Champion Davide Fore was third in his TonyKart .
