At the Lausitzring and at Mondello

Lewis Hamilton continued to underline his complete domination of the Formula 3 Euroseries this year at the Lausitzring over the weekend with two more wins in the series, bringing his total to 13 victories. It is anticipated that Hamilton will shortly sign to race in GP2 next year although there is some doubt as to which team, as the ART operation, a sister organisation to the ASM team for which he currently drives, has close links with Ferrari. ART's Nicolas Todt is the son of Ferrari boss Jean Todt.

Hamilton has long been a protege of McLaren.

The British Formula 3 teams were in action at Mondello Park in Ireland with champion Alvaro Parente winning one of the two races and Lola's Steven Kane leading the field home in the other. The battle for second place in the series saw America's Charlie Kimball edging away from his rival Mike Conway. With two races left the gap is 30 points with a maximum of 42 up for grabs. Kimball, incidentally, was a recent visitor to the GP2 paddock in Spa, the Californian clearly thinking of moving into the series next year.
