Lawyers spurns Michelin refund offer

An Indianapolis lawyer is advising fans that they should not accept Michelin's offer to refund tickets from this year's United States Grand Prix - lest it affect their rights to claim damages. It is arguable whether anyone would actually be liable for damages, given that there are plenty of legal precedents for the cancelling of sporting events and thus an implied risk in buying tickets, but obviously the lawyers are keen to press on in the hope that a court might find against all those involved.

The Michelin refund plan is currently being worked out with officials at Indianapolis and an announcement will be made as soon as the process is in place and ready to go.

Fans must then decide whether a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
