Red Bull joins appeal

Red Bull Racing is to appeal the FIA World Council decision which found the team guilty of "acts prejudicial to the interests of a competition". The decision was taken because of the approaching deadline for appeals and because there is still no date for the FIA International Court of Appeal, which may or may not be after the September 14 extraordinary meeting of the World Council, which will decide on punishments for the teams.

According to the FIA the teams will be allowed to appeal both the charge and the penalty but we are still waiting to hear from the court secretariat as to when the appeal will be and whether there are rules to cover delayed sentencing and whether the changes made to the court's procedures last week by the World Council have been implemented.
