Indianapolis Motor Speedway boss Tony George says that Formula 1 is wasting its time talking about a non-championship race in October.

"There will be no (race) at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this fall," George said in a statement. "Our position to Bernie, who is our link to the F1 community, is that the sooner we can get the focus back on the real issues that affect all of us, the better off we'll be."

Indianapolis spokesman Ron Green added that the top priority is to resolve the problems created by the recent United States Grand Prix and then looking at 2006.
