Nine teams say no chicane, no race

There are reports that Minardi and Jordan have joined the Michelin teams and say that unless there is a chicane to slow the cars down, they will not be taking part in the United States Grand Prix. The latest twist in the story means that in just over an hour from now we could see two cars lining up on the grid at the start of the race, which would be a complete disaster for F1 in the United States.

The pressure is therefore on Ferrari to compromise and do something in the best interests of the sport.

The team does not have a record of such actions in recent years.
