Ferrari re-ups with Shell

Shell is to renew its technical partnership with Ferrari for another five years, which will take the relationship from 2006 until the end of 2010. Shell will continue to provide fuels and lubricants to Ferrari's road car division as well as its racing team. Shell products were used in the very first Ferrari cars and Shell played a key role in Ferrari's first Formula 1 appearance in 1950. Since then, Shell has powered Ferrari to eight Constructors' and 11 Drivers' titles in F1.

Shell plays an important role in F1 by providing Ferrari with performance-enhancing weight savings and better fuel consumption.

The deal is worth several hundred million dollars.
