Briscoe in the wars
Former Formula 1 test driver Ryan Briscoe made a decent impact in the Indy Racing League race at St Petersburg in Florida. The Australia was leading the race with nine laps to go but was under pressure from Tony Kanaan. Briscoe was defending his position but Kanaan decided that he was not going to wait around and punted Briscoe out of the race. The move cost Kanaan the lead as it allowed Dan Wheldon to get through into the lead.
After the race Kanaan was not a popular man down at Target Chip Ganassi Racing having earlier punted off Briscoe's team mate Darren Manning!
