The government of Bahrain is investing around $750m in a new resort facility which is to be built near the country's Formula 1 circuit. The foundation stone of the Al Areen Desert Spa and Resort was laid on Wednesday. The new facility will be located next to the Al Areen Wildlife Sanctuary where another big resort, called the Oasis Spa, is under development. This should be ready in time for the Grand Prix in 2006.
