The man behind the New Zealand A1 franchise

Colin Giltrap is one of New Zealand's richest men and has been an active supporter of motor racing for the last 30 years. He is the country's biggest car dealer ship links to many of the big car companies, including Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Hyundai. Now based in London, Giltrap is a trustee of the Bruce McLaren Trust and a regular visitor to the Monaco Grand Prix. He has helped the careers of many young New Zealand drivers, notably Scott Dixon, helping to pay for his Formula Holden programme in Australia and supporting Dixon when he started racing in the United States.
