Watch out for the "new" Williams

The Williams FW27 is getting better and better as new parts arrive to fix the problems that slowed the car at the start of the season. We hear on the grapevine that the team will have a new aerodynamic package at the rear which will be worth as much as two or three-tenths of a second per lap. This means that unless Renault has made a big step forward the Williams drivers sould be within a tenth or two of the Renaults. Most of the teams have new packages arriving in Imola and it may be that Williams's improvement will lift the team to within striking distance of the Renaults. It remains to be seen how much improvement can be expected from Ferrari as the Italian team will be using the new F2005 for the first time. The new car is said to be abour half a second quicker than the the F2004M and that would mean that Ferrari will also be in striking distance of the Renaults. The Bahrain Grand Prix could be very interesting indeed.
