Look out Canada!

Mosport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, used to be the home of the Canadian Grand Prix. Now renamed as Mosport International Raceway the circuit is aiming to leap-frog Montreal to become the leading candidate to land a NASCAR race in 2006. Myles Brandt, president and general manager of Mosport says that he has already had meetings with NASCAR officials and that they have already visited the track and will return within the next three months for further inspections.

ΚΚΚ A group of NASCAR executives reportedly met on Tuesday in Daytona Beach, Florida to map out an expansion strategy in Canada.

NASCAR recently dipped its toes in the Mexican waters with a round of the Busch Series at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.
