Doornbos to go testing for Midland Jordan
Dutchman Robert Doornbos hoped to race for Jordan this year in F1 but the last-minute takeover of the team by the Midland organisation and the nomination of Narain Karthikeyan and Tiago Monteiro as race drivers and Nicky Pastorelli as the third driver left Doornbos out in the cold. It seems that he has now agreed a deal to test for the team away from the races.
Doornbos was so intent on driving in F1 that all opportunities of competitive rides in GP2 were ignored.
