Wiggy fronts up for Champ Car

Keith Wiggins, who used to run the Pacific Grand Prix F1 team in the early 1990s, will be back in action in the Champ Car series in 2005 with a revamped Herdez Competition operation. Wiggins bought into the team in 2000 after the death of team owner Tony Bettenhausen in a plane crash, in partnership with Mexican brothers Enrique and Hector Hernandez-Pons Torres, the owners of the Herdez company, Mexico's largest food distribution business. The team will be rebranded this year as HVM Inc. It will be running two cars: one for Mario Dominguez and the other for an as-yet unknown driver. Ryan Hunter-Reay, who won a race for the team last year in Milwaukee, is expected to move on but the team is believed to have found backing from Mexico to run another driver.
