Champ Car culls management

The Champ Car World Series is reported to have had a major clear-out of its management with five executives being dropped on Friday. The organisation remains under president Dick Eidswick, who is assisted by vice-presidents David Clare and Joseph Chrnelich. John Lopes's operations division is to lose Competition Race Director Chris Kneifel, Technology Director Lee Dykstra and race control executive Derek Higgins. The head of the marketing and communications divisions, Tom Moser (of BAT fame) and Wendy Gabers have both been let go. There is no official word as to who will replace them but it is a sign that the new owners of Champ Car want to get things moving in 2005.
