Green joins Mercedes in DTM
Rising British racing star Jamie Green is moving to the DTM series in Germany next year. The 22-year-old driver won the Formula 3 Euroseries this year and has decided to go with Mercedes-Benz in the DTM series although it means switching away from single-seater racing.
Green will find himself a member of the AMG Mercedes-Benz team and will be up against another F1 hopeful Gary Paffett. His opposition will include Mika Hakkinen, Jean Alesi, Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Allan McNish, who has joined the Audi team for 2005.
The announcement explains why Green was not one of the young drivers tested by BAR-Honda.
