Sauber to launch C24 in Malaysia

The Sauber Petronas team will be launching its new C24 chassis in Kuala Lumpur on January 11, 2005, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Petronas's involvement in Formula 1. The Malaysian oil and gas corporation began its association with Sauber in 1995 and has been a key partner ever since. The company pays for the supply of Ferrari V10 engines which are then rebadged as Sauber Petronas V10s. The original plan for the company to build its own F1 engine was shelved some years ago but the success of F1 has been vital in helping Petronas gain more exposure around the world.
