Jordan team manager heads home to Australia

Tim Edwards, Jordan Grand Prix's team manager for the last four years, has decided that after 14 years in Europe it is time to go home to Australia where he plans to get a job in the local Supercar V8 series.

Edwards left Australia at the age of 21 and after cutting his teeth with Alan Docking Racing he was recruited to the new Jordan Grand Prix operation in 1991. Initially he worked in the sub-assembly department but moved on to the race team in 1994 as number one mechanic for Rubens Barrichello and became chief mechanic in 1997. It was under his control that Jordan built its first winning cars. He moved onto run the test team before being appointed team manager at the end of 2001.
