Nelson Piquet Jr wins British Formula 3 title

Nelson Piquet Jr became the youngest ever winner of the British Formula 3 Championship at the weekend by finishing runner up at Brands Hatch James Rossiter. The 19-year-old Brazilian secured the title 26 years after his father won the same championship on his way to Formula 1. Piquet's main title challenger was Adam Carroll but he could no better than ninth. After 24 race therefore Piquet has collected a total of 282 points, with Carroll on 232 and Rossiter with 228. The minor placing in the championship go to Clivio Piccione (161), Danilo Dirani (146) and Danny Watts (139).
