Green is Eurocup Formula 3 Champion

Britain's Jamie Green has wrapped up the Formula 3 Euroseries title with four races remaining. The 22-year-old has already accumulated 111 points and cannot now be caught by his closest challenger Alexandre Premat. There is a lively battle for the runner-up spot however with Premat (65 points), under pressure from Nicolas Lapierre and Eric Salignon (64 points) and Nico Rosberg (63), while Britain's Lewis Hamilton is still in with a chance at 50 points.

Salignon came away from the race at Zandvoort with the biggest haul of points having won the first race and having finished second to Green in the second.

Green follows in the footsteps of Ryan Briscoe, who won last year's title and has since moved on to become Toyota's F1 test driver. There have been suggestions that Green may end up with a BAR testing contract.

Green has been kart racing since he was 14 and moved to cars in 2002 when he jumped into British Formula Renault and finished second in the British Formula Renault series to Danny Watts and then moved to British F3 in 2003 with Carlin Motorsport and finished runner-up to Alan Van der Merwe.
