Sauber and Bridgestone
Sauber has signed a new long-term deal with Bridgestone for Formula 1 tyres. The news has yet to be announced but follows rumours that Sauber was talking with rival tyre firm Michelin. There was never much prospect of a Michelin deal because of Sauber's close relationship with Ferrari. There are still rumours circulating about other teams switching from Michelin to Bridgestone but these seem to be more to do with negotiating than with any realities.
