BAR confirms three more years of Honda
The BAR-Honda relationship will continue for at least another three years, although there are believed to be options which could result in the relationship going on even longer if all goes well.
"Honda's commitment to our future will ensure both long-term stability and the continued competitiveness of the team," said team boss David Richards.
The Honda deal, which covers both engine and chassis technology, aims to consistently win races in the future without the complications of the Japanese car company owning any equity in the team. This means that the Honda's attitude to F1 can be considerably more flexible than the rival car companies which have decided to run their own teams.
