Fisichella and Renault

Our spies tell us that Giancarlo Fisichella will be confirmed next week as Fernando Alonso's partner at Renault F1 in 2005. Jarno Trulli is expected to move to Toyota but the German-based team is not expecting to make any announcement for some months about its driver line-up. The team has already confirmed that Ralf Schumacher will be one of the drivers.

Fisichella is under contract to Sauber next year but we understand that a deal has been negotiated to allow his release as part of a settlement which is likely to see Mark Webber at Williams.
