Brundle joins Jaguar Racing
Jaguar Racing has done a deal to run former F1 driver Martin Brundle in the Grand Prix of Regent Street next Tuesday in London. Brundle returns to Jaguar 14 years after winning Le Mans for the company in 1990. Brundle, who is now the lead commentator on ITV's Formula 1 coverage will do some shakedown runs in one of the cars on Monday at Santa Pod Raceway in Bedfordshire.
"Jaguar approached me at the USA Grand Prix with the kind offer of driving their F1 car and I accepted it on the spot!" Brundle said. "I have a special relationship with Jaguar that first began in 1982 in the European Touring Car Championship and ended in the early 1990s, the highlights including a World Driver's Championship and Daytona and Le Mans 24 hour victories.
