Astromega confirms Van Hooydonck
The Team Astromega Formula 3000 team has snapped up Belgian youngster Jeffrey van Hooydonk after he was dropped by Coloni Motorsport to make way for Super Nova Racing's Patrick Friesacher. The Austrian decided to leave Super Nova after a series of poor finishes. Van Hooydonk replaces Jan Heylen, who has run out of money.
The Super Nova team is expected to name a replacement for Friesacher shortly and the new-look F3000 line-up will be seen in action for the first time this weekend at Magny-Cours.
