Renault to hire Ferrari aero man

We hear that Renault F1 is in the process of strengthening its aerodynamic department at Enstone and is going to hire one of Ferrari's top aerodynamic engineers James Allison.

Allison started his F1 career with the Enstone team when it was known as Benetton, back in 1991 after he graduated from Cambridge University. After a couple of seasons at Benetton he moved to Larrousse UK Ltd, Robin Herd's design office in Bicester, and he did the aerodynamic development for the Larrousse F1 cars in 1994.

He later went back to Benetton where he headed aerodynamic development until moving to Ferrari in 2000.
