A change of mind in Melbourne

An appeals tribunal of Victoria's Medical Complaints Board has ruled that a doctor involved in the Formula 1 accident there in 2001 did not act unprofessionally when he ordered doctors to continue attempts to revive track marshal Graham Beveridge, despite the fact that Beveridge has already been declared dead. Dr Anthony Vissenga was ruled to have committed an "error of judgement" but had not acted unprofessionally.

The case is now closed.
