GPWC meeting for Barcelona
There is to be a meeting of the GPWC in Barcelona tomorrow to discuss the next moves in the negotiations over the future of the Formula 1 revenues. The talks over the regulations which will come into force in 2008 have revealed that the most important issue in order to get change accelerated is a new commercial deal between the teams and Formula One Management (FOM), the holder of the commercial rights of F1. Bernie Ecclestone, the man in charge of FOM wants to maintain his revenues from the sport but the teams are arguing that they should be getting more of the money and although Ecclestone appears to be willing to give some ground, it is still not enough for most of the team principals.
