Arden leads the way

Christian Horner's Arden International team has dominated the Formula 3000 scene in recent years and that continued at Imola where Italian rising star Tonio Liuzzi dominated the opening round of the FIA International Formula 3000 Championship, beating Enrico Toccacello of the BCN team and Robert Doornbos, Liuzzi's Arden team mate, who was the best-placed rookie in the race.

It is no secret that Horner has F1 ambitions and it is worth noting that after the F1 race on Sunday BAR-Honda boss David Richards joked about the possibility of entering a Prodrive F1 team once the new structure of F1 is sorted out. Richards and Horner are family friends and the BAR boss helped Horner to break into the big league with Lukoil sponsorship. Indeed for a time Arden was part-owned by Richards's Prodrive company...
