Montoya tops the times again in Jerez

Juan Pablo Montoya topped the timesheets for the second day running at the Jerez test, lapping the track in 1m16.721s after completing 85 laps with new Williams FW26. The time is marginally faster than his best time yesterday but is still half a second slower than the best lap set by McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa last month. Marc Gene was second quickest in the Williams development car ahead of the two Renaults of Franck Montagny and Jarno Trulli while McLaren (de la Rosa and David Coulthard), Toyota (Ricardo Zonta and Olivier Panis) and Ferrari (Felipe Massa and Luca Badoer) all continued to run two-car development programmes.
