World Council meets today

The FIA World Motor Sport Council meets today in Monte Carlo and we can expect some form of an F1 calendar - hopefully something definitive. We hear that there is a possibility that more time will be given to the French to find the money needed to host a race in 2004 with the decision date of December 22 being mentioned. However this would be very disruptive as it means that Britain cannot go ahead with a confirmed switch of dates. There are no other major decisions expected although in recent days Max Mosley has been talking about restructuring the way in which penalties are handed out in F1.
