Motoyama gets a call from Renault

Renault and Nissan seem to be working more and more closely together with the latest evidence being the fact that Nissan GT factory driver Satoshi Motoyama, who this year was also crowned Formula Nippon Champion, is to test for the Renault F1 team.

Motoyama recently tested for Jordan during the Friday morning testing in Suzuka but at 32 is probably too old to make a fulltime career in Grand Prix racing.

It is worth noting that Nissan has helped Renault considerably in its F1 programme, notably with the electronics for the automatic starting system which has given Renault a huge advantage over other teams in recent years.
