Janis to test for Jordan

Eddie Jordan continues his search for drivers for 2003 with Nick Heidfeld now seen as the man most likely to lead the team but Czech racer Jaroslav Janis is in the picture to take over as the second driver from Ralph Firman. Janis is not thought to have the money needed for the drive at the moment but hopes that the test will lead to major backing being found from Central Europe. The 20-year-old Czech has the same management as Tomas Enge, the Czech who drove for Prost in 2001. He has been racing in Formula 3000 for two and half years with the Charouz ISR Team after making rapid progress through the junior formulae in Germany in 1999 and 2000.
