Aguri continues to push young Japanese drivers

Former Formula 1 driver Aguri Suzuki has been building up a scheme for several years to help young Japanese racing drivers become successful around the world. As part of that program, Suzuki joined forces with Mexico's Adrian Fernandez to establish Super Aguri Fernandez Racing in the Indy Racing League. The team ran Asian-American racer Roger Yasukawa this year and expects to confirm its plan for 2004 shortly. Before that happens the team is going to test Kousuke Matsuura at Phoenix International Raceway. The 24-year-old has been racing this year in the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup championship after competing in the German F3 series and testing for BAR-Honda last year.
