Formula 1 TV figures on the up

Formula 1 is increasing its viewing figures again, according to the French Mediametrie agency. The company has just published its Eurodata TV Worldwide report on the F1 season shows which reveals that the overall TV audience is increasing once again, even if the sport is slipping in some markets. The German market still rates an average audience of nine million people but the figure is down for the third consecutive year. However France is on the way up for the first time since 2000 with an average of 3.6m per race while Italy is also up with an average of 9.7m. By comparison the British audience remains small with 3.2m people on average. In terms of percentages of the population, Finland tops the bill with 20% of the nation regularly watching Kimi Raikkonen's adventures.
