Villeneuve reported dropped by BAR

There are stories that Jacques Villeneuve has been informed that his services will not be required next year by British American Racing. This would seem to over the way for Honda protege Takuma Sato. The news is no a big surprise as Villeneuve's management and BAR boss David Richards were unable to agree figures on how much Villeneuve should be paid. Richards made an offer and Craig Pollock then made a counter-offer but it seems that this was more than BAR was willing to spend.

If confirmed the news means that Villeneuve will probably be out of F1 at the end of the year as there are no major drives available in 2004 and Villeneuve is not a man in demand these days.
