Niki Lauda to rent cars

Niki Lauda has been working for the TV since he was kicked out of Jaguar Racing and as he no longer controls the airline which bears his name he has been looking for something to do with his time. His conclusion is that he is going into the car hire business, following in the footsteps of Easyjet with very cheap Smart cars which will run around the Austrian city. Lauda is only asking a dollar a day for the cars but the renters have to stay within the city limits but must cover at least 30km a day. In other words the cars are being used as mobile billboards.

The new company will be called Laudamotion.

The 50 available cars can only be booked on the Internet.

Lauda says that if the project is successful he will expand to other European cities.
