A slight problem with Bahrain

For some time there has been talk of the new Grand Prix in Bahrain in 2004 but one problem has been carefully glossed over. Bahrain currently does not have enough hotel rooms to accommodate the whole of the F1 circus. The hotels available have already been taken by the organizers and the latest plan is believed to be to charter a couple of 2000 cabin ocean liners to be moored off Bahrain for the Grand Prix week in order to make supply meet demand. In the longer term there is a massive building program planned to help develop Bahrain as a tourist destination and so more rooms will become available in the years ahead.
