A hint from the president
The FIA President Max Mosley has gently nudged the Formula 1 teams to remember that team orders are not to be tolerated in the final two races of the World Championship. Mosley made some remarks about team orders in the run-up to the United States GP just to make sure that there is no repeat of last year's race when the finish at the event was staged by Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello.
The FIA is believed to feel that Formula 1 will never gain a foothold in the United States if the races are seen to be staged and while policing team orders is a major problem it wants to be make sure that is teams do wish to influence the outcome of a race they will need to be extremely subtle about what they do.
