Brundle to stand down

Martin Brundle is expected to stand down soon as chairman of the British Racing Drivers' Club after three consecutive three-year terms as a director. Brundle is not allowed by the club rules to stay on longer and the search will soon begin to find a replacement to take over the job of running the club which owns Silverstone. Brundle has played an important role in recent years keeping the British GP alive. Names being mentioned as possible replacements are Mark Blundell, Martin's former F1 team mate and now a fellow ITV commentator, former Arrows F1 team owner Jackie Oliver and Ray Bellm.
