Verstappen and Jordan

In recent days Jos Verstappen's trusty Dutch sponsors have eben looking at what they would like to do for next year and have been shopping around the F1 paddock to see if anyone can offer them a better deal than Minardi. The only real option appears to be Jordan and so talks have been going on with the Silverstone team, which has been struggling for cash this year. The advantage of Jordan is that the team is expected to have better engines next year when it switches to the 90-degree Ford V10 rather than the current 75-degree unit. Whether or not this will make a significant difference in performance is another matter.

It is unlikely that there will be a decision for some time until the future of the two teams becomes a little clearer.
