The Whiteways Technical Centre in Enstone, the home of the Renault F1 team, is being expanded with the construction of a new logistics building for the team's race trucks. This means that the team is going to be able to expand its composites department and specifically its materials research department. The team is also adding a gearbox dynamometer to the facility.

The big Formula 1 teams continue to build despite the current economic climate with Williams and Sauber just putting the finishing touches to their new windtunnels and McLaren will eventually move all its F1 operations into the new team headquarters in Woking, although this is now well behind schedule.
