FIA hearing this afternoon

The stewards of the German GP will reconvene this afternoon in Budapest to decide whether or not to punish Kimi Raikkonen for his involvement in the first lap crash at Hockenheim. The FIA has already fined Ralf Schumacher $50,000 for his involvement and it is anticipated that Raikkonen may get a similar fine because of steering traces which suggest that he turned towards Rubens Barrichello just before the accident happened. It is possible that the stewards could decide to penalise the McLaren driver with a drop of 10 places on the grid but if this happens, it is almost certain that McLaren would appeal the decision.
