It is decision time for Silverstone

Although the cancellation of the Canadian Grand Prix has eased the pressure on Silverstone to some extent, there is still need for a solution to be found over the long-term funding of the British Grand Prix. At the British GP on July 20, Bernie Ecclestone gave the authorities a month to sort out a deal to secure the race and that deadline is now fast approaching.

There have been suggestions that the British Government will announce a plan to pump millions of dollars into Silverstone to safeguard the future of the British Grand Prix and there have even been stories suggesting that an announcement will be made in Hungary by the Department of Trade and Industry.
